My deepest condolences to Awilda's family and friends. She passed too quickly. She was a hardworking, generous, sweet, caring woman who took the time for everyone. She will be truly missed. Her smile lit up the room and she helped all. May Awilda rest in peace.

We lived on campus in the Colonial House from 2009 through 2012. Our daughter, Emma, was born in 2008. She met Awilda when she was 1, and engaged with her over the next three years. The highlight of Emma's day for three years was going to the post office to get mail and engaging with Awilda - who always had time for a chat, a nice greeting, sometimes a joke, and always a wonderful smile. Awilda was such a gentle and kind person. We are so saddened to hear this news. We wish to convey our deepest sympathy with her family members. We will miss her.

My deepest condolences to the family,Awilda was the sweetest person you ever could meet a dedicated worker at Stevens we met 9 years ago. We would talk about our families, children and grandchildren, she loved her family very much. When she retired I was sad and happy because I knew she would now enjoy her life. She will be missed. Rest in Paradise

I met Awilda 7 years ago, on the phone, when I needed help getting something shipped immediately. She was so nice and helpful, that I stopped by the post office to thank her in person. Since then, she always remembered me and whenever I stopped at the post office she came over to chat. I was glad for her when she retired and am now truly sad for her family, that she passed so suddenly. She was so sweet.
