Catherine (Munizza) Romeo

Catherine Romeo (Munizza), a lifelong resident of Jersey City, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 08, 2016 at the age of 89.   Catherine was a dedicated parishioner to OLM Church and was part of the 50 Plus Club, a Rosarian and also Eucharist Minister.  She helped each year at the church feast, cooking in the kitchen for over 20 years and also organized the best OLMC bus trips to Atlantic City.  Her infectious laugh will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.  

Beloved wife of the late Dominick F. Romeo; Loving mother of Rocco S Romeo & his wife Rosemarie, Vincent Romeo & his wife Lillian; dear sister of Josephine DiCristofalo and Salvatore Munizza; cherished Grandmother of Gia Wood & husband Jeffrey, Dawn MacDonald & husband Carl, Vincent and Rosalia Romeo; great grandmother of Hudson, Harper Grace, Connor and Blake.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (99 Broadway J.C.) at 10:30 AM.  Family & friends will meet at the church.   Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Catherine’s name to Our  Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 99 Broadway, Jersey City, NJ.
