Christine Kachnycz

Christine Kachnycz, 94, of Jersey City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 7, 2018.  Born in Ukraine, Christine lived in Germany for 20 years and immigrated to Jersey City in 1963.  She retired from JP Morgan in 1985.

Christine was active in the Ukrainian community and a devout parishioner of SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Jersey City.

Christine was the beloved wife of the late Theodor Kachnycz; loving mother of Lesia Wirstiuk and Luba Bileckyj; cherished grandmother of Laryssa and Adrian Wirstiuk.  Also survived by loving family in Ukraine.

Visitation is on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Parastas 7:00pm at RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07306.  Funeral will begin on Thursday, 10:00am at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass will follow 11:00am at SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Jersey City.  Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.
