Edward J. D'Mowski

Edward J. D'Mowski, 92, a lifelong resident of Jersey City, passed away on October 1, 2017.  Edward lived 88 years in Jersey City until moving to assisted living in Tucson, AZ.  Born on April 3, 1925 in the Lafayette Section of Jersey City, he also lived in various locations in West Bergen.

Edward enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. serving as Private 1st class from 1943 to 1946 aboard the Enterprise.  He was a retired tool & die maker and a precision tool designer.

Edward was the beloved husband of 52 years to Catherine Chidichimo until her death in 1999. He was the devoted father of Maryanne Torres and her husband Marco of Bayonne, and Alice Dmowski and her significant other, Andy Harsin of Tucson Arizona.  He is also survived by his loving granddaughter, Nastassja Torres of Bayonne, sister in law, Marie D'Mowski and her daughters Linda and Catherine and their spouses and grandson of Miami, Bernard, Kenneth, and Kevin Fearon and Lorraine Henry and their spouses and children, Phillip and Michael Chidichimo and Mary Signorelli and their spouses, children and grandchildren

Edward was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Martha D'Mowski, his sister Elenore Fearon of Green Pond, NJ, his brothers Louis of Miami and Walter of Bordentown NJ, and nephew Thomas Fearon of Baltimore, MD. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering on Friday, January 12, 2018, 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 13, 2018, 11:00am at Our Lady of Victories Church, 2217 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07305.
