Ezer B. Norella

Ezer Norella, 78, of New Jersey, went to be with his loving Savior and Lord at Christ Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 7, 2018. He was born May 6, 1939 in the city of Estancia, Iloilo, Philippines to Serafin Norella and Clara Barredo.
 
Ezer was the beloved husband of Paz Norella; devoted father of Eden and Bayani Laranang, Elmer and Shirley Norella. He will be lovingly remembered by his granddaughters- Elisah, Eunice and Sherise.  Ezer was the loving brother of Rick, Ruben, Rosalinda, Rebecca, Raquel and the late Roberto, Rogelio, Rudy and Reynaldo,

He graduated from Jose Abad Santos High School, Manila and then onto San Fernando Air Base, Lipa City where he finished his Air Force Training. After completing, Ezer enlisted in the Philippine Air Force and served for 30 years.
 
Ezer accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord on April 29, 1990 and became a church member at Christian Bible Baptist Church in Laguna where he grew up spiritually. He served there as an usher for 7 years.
 
Ezer later moved his fellowship to Bergen Bible Baptist Church when he immigrated to the United States in 1997. He worked diligently in the church in whatever capacity he was needed and was eventually ordained as a Deacon and eventually Deacon Emeritus. He served faithfully until interrupted by health challenges. He was not a perfect man but a caring compassionate man growing in the Grace of God provided by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Always willing to help others, even at great sacrifice to himself.
 
While our hearts are saddened, we are rejoicing because Ezer had made his calling and election sure receiving salvation through his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Visitation is on Monday, April 9, 2018, 5:00pm – 9:00pm at Bergen Bible Baptist Church, 364 Garibaldi Ave., Lodi, New Jersey 07644. A funeral service will be held the same night and place at 7:30pm.
