George Hawriluk

George Hawriluk, 89, of Pt. Pleasant Beach, and formerly of Jersey City, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 3, 2017.

George was born and raised in Jersey City, where he met and married the love of his life, Phyllis. Shortly after getting married, George joined the United States Army, and proudly served his country during the Korean War. In 1995, George moved from Jersey City, to Point Pleasant Beach, where he resided for the remainder of his life.  

George enjoyed helping his sons in the antique trade, he loved fishing and crabbing, country music, and good times with family, friends, and most of all, his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his Loving Wife, Phyllis in 1993, and his cherished Children, Vanessa Hawriluk, and George W. Hawriluk..

Surviving are his Beloved Sons: Gregory Hawriluk, and his wife Laura; and Geoffrey Hawriluk, and his wife, Laura. Also surviving are his beloved Grandchildren: Gregory, Kelley, Kaila, Jeffrey, and Matthew. 

A Vistation for George will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Riotto Funeral Home.  A Funeral will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017, 9:00 AM at the Funeral Home, followed by a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Nicholas Church, Jersey City. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington.
