George Peter Olkewicz, 70, of Jersey City, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017.

George served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was an aircraft mechanic and achieved the rank of sergeant. He was a retired bus driver for Amity Bus Co., Jersey City.

George was the loving brother of Irene Mattina, Roseann Sowinski and Jeanette McCarthy. Also survived by relatives and friends.

Cremation is private.
