Helen Kapakos

Helen Kapakos (Nee Lembesis), 87, of Jersey City, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017.
Helen was a loyal member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers' Union (ILGWU), and worked in the fashion Industry for 20 years before retiring in 1990. After her retirement, Helen worked at her home, as a bookkeeper for 10 additional years. She was a proud member of Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church in Jersey City, and also a member of the Terrace Ave. Block Association.
Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband, George Kapakos; her dear son, Nicholas Kapakos; her brothers, Constantino Themis, and John Lembesis, and her sister, Litsa Vlahos.
She is survived by her Loving Son, Leonidas Kapakos and his wife Betty; her beloved sister, Potoula Lembesis, and her cherished Grandson, George.
A visitation for Helen will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Riotto Funeral Home. A Trisagion service will take place during the visitation at 7:30 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017, 12:00 PM at Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church, Jersey City. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst.
