John Cupo, Sr.

John Cupo, Sr., 94, a life long resident of Jersey City passed away in his sleep on Thursday, July 14, 2016.  John was born on Grove Street, Jersey City in 1922.

John is survived by 11 children and many grandchildren.  He worked as an explosives engineer during WWII and bus driver for the Hudson County Vocational schools.  He will be remembered as a wicked raconteur, street philosopher, humorist and professional amateur chef.  Never one to obsess over material objects, he instead strived to fight for the rights of the working man.  His door and table were always open to all.

Visitation is from RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306 on Friday, July 15, 2016, 2:00pm to 6:00pm with a religious to begin at 4:00pm.  Cremation will be private.
