Lucy (Picardo) Capo

Lucy Capo (Picardo), age 96, a life long resident of Jersey City, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2016.  Lucy was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and worked at the OLMC School's lunch program.  She was always ready to volunteer and lend a helping hand, be it at the school's library and church feast, and also at Holy Rosary Church, where she was in charge of ironing the Priest's Vestments. 

Beloved wife of the late Patsy Capo; loving and devoted mother of Joseph Capo, Grace Cataldo and her husband Chris;  cherished grandmother of Christopher Cataldo; dear sister of Marietta Picardo & Suzanne Ruggiero; adored aunt of Joseph Capozzoli and Felicia Gunshefski and numerous other loving nieces & nephews.

Visitation on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-9 PM at  Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 30,  2016 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City.  Family & friends will gather at the funeral home at 9 AM.  Interment Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial contributions can be made in Lucy's memory to the St. Anthony's H.S. Development Fund, 175 8th Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302 (201) 653-5143. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
