Marie (Zampaglione) Sernio

Sernio, Marie, 89, of Hazlet, formerly of Jersey City, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.  Marie was born and raised in Jersey City to the late Joseph and Carmela Zampaglione and moved to Regency Park, Hazlet in 2007.  

Marie was the beloved wife of the late Philip "Mac" Sernio; Devoted mother of Justine Annunziata and husband John, John Sernio and the late Joseph Sernio; Dear mother-in-law of Toni Sernio; Loving grandmother of John Philip Sernio, Joseph Anthony Sernio, Jr., Nicole Holmes, Jenna Sernio, Gillian Sernio and Kayla Sernio;  Loving great-grandmother of Kelsey Sernio and Talia Annunziata; Cherished aunt of Florence Capone;  Dear sister of Samuel and the late Dick Zampaglione, Angelina Carpenter, Sue Capone and Dorothy Gaita.

Visitation from RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306 on Friday, 3:00 pm through 7:00 pm.  Funeral on Saturday, May 18, 2013, 9:30 am at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass will follow 10:30 am at St. Anne's Church, Jersey City.  Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  To send condolences please visit www.riottofh.com
