Nikolaos "Nick" Gikas

Nikolaos "Nick" Gikas, 78, of Jersey City died on Wednesday, July 26, 2017.  Nick was born in Epidavros, Greece and immigrated to Jersey City 50 years ago.  He retired from the Jersey City Board of Education, P.S. 33.

Nick was the beloved husband of 48 years to Zefe Gikas; Devoted father of Thalia and John Gikas; Loving grandfather of Anastasia.  

Visitation will be on Friday, July 28, 2017, 4-8pm, Trisagion Service 7pm at RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306.  Funeral Mass on Saturday, July 29, 2017, 10am at Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church, 661 Montgomery St., Jersey City.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington.
