Theresa Dorothy Curcio

Theresa Curcio, formerly of Jersey City, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday April 6, 2024, at the age of 93. Born into a proud Polish family on January 23, 1931, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Theresa was a cherished daughter to Michael and Helen Najdzin. She was one of ten children. Theresa loved and enjoyed the company of all of her siblings and their spouses that have preceded her.

Married to Frank Curcio on April 21,1956. Together they raised their three children in Jersey City, and celebrated many life events and good times with family and friends for many years. Frank and Theresa moved to Whiting, NJ in 2001 and were together for 51 years before Frank’s passing in 2008.

Theresa was the beloved mother to Victor (fiancé Irene Carbonaro), Angela (late Jim Kane) and Theresa (Steve Siebel). Her children are forever grateful to have her as their Mother and Friend. She was Nanny and Grandma to her three grandchildren, Lance Kane, Steven Thomas Siebel Jr. and Nicholas Jude Siebel. She was a great caregiver and helped mold them into the fine young men they are. Always devoted to her family and friends. She was caring and compassionate, a wonderful homemaker and devoted Catholic. She was lovingly referred to as Aunt Terry and cherished by many godchildren, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was fondly referred to as Smiley by her friends and the very caring team at Arnold Walter Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Hazlet.

All life’s that were touched by Theresa have her loving memory to hold in their hearts. Her beauty, both inside and out will truly be missed.

Visitation will be Friday, April 12, 2024, from 4-8pm at RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306 (For GPS, please use our parking lot address:14 Stagg Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306). A Funeral mass celebrating Theresa's life, will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2024, 10:00am at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 457 Monmouth St, Jersey City, NJ 07302. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
