There are many ways to celebrate ones life in the course of a funeral ceremony. Many of the types of services fall into the following categories and each can be modified to complete specific needs.

Horse Drawn Caisson Funeral
Traditional
The most common funeral service includes an open casket visitation on one or more days.
This provides relatives and friends the best opportunity to express their condolences, offer support and pay tribute. The visitation may include; religious, club or organization services, eulogies of the deceased, appropriate music or hymns, flower displays, pictures and items of memorabilia.
On the morning of the funeral, a final viewing precedes a funeral procession to a church or other place of worship celebrated by a priest or minister. If convenient, the procession may also pause briefly by the decedent’s residence.
A procession then continues to the cemetery or crematory where a final brief service is held. A Military Funeral Honors ceremony for veterans consists of the folding and presentation of the American flag and the sounding of Taps by a detail of uniformed members of the Armed Forces.
Immediate Burial or Direct Cremation
The simplest of funeral services where the deceased is transferred to the funeral home for minimal preparation without embalming for identification. The body is placed in a casket or cremation container and brought privately to the cemetery or crematory. If the family chooses to be present for the final disposition, the funeral home often charges an additional fee. A memorial service can be arranged after the funeral which is described below.
Memorial Service
Days or weeks after an immediate burial or direct cremation, a memorial service without the body present can take place in the funeral home, place of worship or any appropriate location that can accommodate relatives and friends. If cremation was selected, an urn can be purchased for the cremated remains and made available for the service.
Other Services
Domestic or International Transfers
The funeral home can arrange for the deceased to be shipped to another city, state or country for funeral services abroad. A traditional funeral may be held prior to shipment.
Receiving of Remains from another Funeral Home
Another funeral home may arrange for the deceased to be shipped to our funeral home. A traditional funeral service may take place in one or both locations prior to burial or cremation.
