Alfred "Kayo" Tirella

TIRELLA, Alfred W. "Kayo" 88, of Jersey City, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2010.  Alfred was a life long resident of the Marion Section in Jersey City.

Alfred was a WWII Army Veteran who served in the Battle of the Bulge and received the Purple Heart.  He was a member of the 50 Plus Club of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City.

Alfred is the beloved husband of the late Rose; devoted father of Alfred R. Tirella, Renee Tirella Cassidy and husband Ronald; loving grandfather of Adam Tirella; dear brother of the late Henry, Peter, Albert, Eugene and Anthony Tirella, Josie Ruggiero, Mildred DeVito and Emily Tessalone; also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME, 3205 Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, on Wednesday 7-9 pm and Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 pm.  Funeral is on Friday, September 17, 2010, 9:30 am at the funeral home.  Funeral mass will follow at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10:30 am.  Entombment in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 99 Broadway, Jersey City, NJ 07306
