Anthony J Piccillo

Anthony J. Piccillo, 81 years old, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2020 at Calvary Hospital, NY.  Anthony worked for Bankers Trust Company in various positions including financial management with foreign banks.  He was an avid volunteer at Vanderbilt YMCA, New York City, where he was a major fund raiser.  He also planned trips for seniors at the YMCA.  He enjoyed being a swimming coach for the NY Special Olympics Program.  He celebrated his achievement of being a past Trustee at the Brevard Cooperative Apartments on East 54th Street, New York City.  He was also very active in volunteering, especially with Soup Kitchens and Meals on Wheels programs. 

Anthony is predeceased in life by his parents, Pasquale and Nellie Piccillo; his siblings, Frank Piccillo and his wife Catherine, Mary Weaver, Victoria Romano and her husband Louis, Matthew Piccillo and his wife Roselyn; and his nephew, Richard Piccillo.  Richard Piccillo’s wife is MaryAnne, who is living.  Anthony is also survived by his sister, Rose D’Errico and husband Patsy of Jersey City; his nieces, Cornelia Weiss and her husband Paul, and Marie Harris and her husband Robert; and his nephews, Patrick Piccillo and his wife Donna; Ronald Piccillo and his wife Linda, Frank Piccillo and his wife Donna, Louis Romano and his wife Laura, Anthony Romano, Patrick D’Errico and his wife Linda, Matthew Piccillo and his wife Eliusa, and Charles Romano and his wife JoAnne.  He is also survived by his many friends. 

Visitation is Friday, January 17, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City, NJ.  (For GPS Navigation, it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street).  Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 AM at Holy Rosary Church, Jersey City.  Interment is at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Anthony to the Special Olympics of NY or to the American Cancer Society.
