Bernard "Bo" J. Basta

Bernard J. Basta "Bo," 74, a proud lifelong downtown Jersey City resident passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, August 20, 2017.

Bernard was a mold maker for 25 years with Dixon Mills, Jersey City.  He was an avid bowler and loved traveling to Atlantic City.  Bernard enjoyed decorating for his favorite holiday, Christmas.  He also loved listening to Elvis Presley and blues music.

Bernard was the beloved husband of 52 years to Dolores; devoted father of Bernard, Jr., AnnMarie Basta Rivera, her husband Billy and their dog Klowee; loving grandfather of Jade and Bernard Basta, III; Cherished uncle of Tracey and Justin.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 24, 2017, 3-8pm at RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306.  Funeral will begin on Friday, August 25, 2017, 10am at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass will follow 11am at Holy Rosary Church, Jersey City.  Interment at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
