Elizabeth Almeyda - Ramos

Elizabeth Almeyda-Ramos (Elisa) was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico on December 7th, 1942.  She was a loving mother to her first born son, Luis Alberto Vivier.  She traveled to the U.S. in her early 20’s to begin her adult life.  She lived in New York for about a year where she met Jorge Luis Rivera, and moved to Jersey City, N.J. where she became a resident for the rest of her life.  Elizabeth welcomed a new addition to her family, her second son, Luis Jorge Rivera.  She was a hard-working woman who enjoyed simple luxuries, such as her early morning coffee, her stroll to the local stores, and her love of gardening.  At the same time, extending a lending hand to anyone who would receive her.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her mother, Isidra; her father Ladislao; her first born son, Luis (Goro); her partner in life Jorge; her brothers, Ladislao (Negro), William, and Juan.  In addition to many aunts, uncles, and cousins throughout her life.

Elizabeth is survived by her son Luis (Jorgie); her sisters Andrea(Andy), Nelida (Nelly), and Gladys; and brother, Norberto; including all of her loving nephews, nieces, and grand-nephews.  She is also survived by her daughters-in-law and her furry, four-legged grandchildren. 

Visitation will be on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City NJ, 07306 (For GPS use Address: 14 Stagg Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306). Friends and family are invited to come to the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Monday, July 16, 2018 for second visitation.  Funeral mass will begin at 10:00 AM located at St. Aedan's Church, Jersey City . Cremation will be private.
