Ethel Franciosa

Ethel Franciosa (nee Verga), 90, a lifelong resident of Jersey City, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 29, 2017.  

Ethel lived most of her life in the Marion Section and was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.  She was also a member of the Rosarian Society and the 50Plus Club.  Ethel was the true matriarch of her family and loved having them gathered around her for Sunday dinner.  

Ethel was the beloved wife of the late Mario Franciosa; devoted mother of Donna Traina & her late husband Anthony, John Franciosa & wife Norma, Lori Appello & husband James; loving grandmother of Justin and Danielle Traina, Mario, Anthony, Jaclyn, John and the late Baby John Franciosa, James, Christopher and Michael Appello; cherished great-grandmother of Anthony and Justin Traina; dear sister of Mildred Petrosky & the late Gloria Trolice.

Visitation is on Monday, January 1, 2018, 2:00pm to 7:00pm from RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07306 .  Funeral will begin on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, 9:30am at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass will follow 10:30am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City.  Interment at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
