Gloria Cruz

Gloria Cruz, 54, a lifelong resident of Jersey City, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017.

Gloria was a kind and warm spirited person. Her energy lit up the room and she always knew what to say to make someone feel better. Gloria always had a solution to any problem that arose. She was so caring and would share anything she had with anyone In need. She was such a forgiving person who never held a grudge despite many trials and tribulations she had endured in her life. She was an activist in her community who fed the homeless and preached to them about the love of Jesus. She was a strong woman of God and a prayer warrior who would pray for anyone, anytime, anywhere. She loved her church and spreading the word of God. Gloria was a multitalented hairdresser and seamstress. She enjoyed making people feel beautiful. Despite Gloria's critical health condition she managed to remain positive and full of life. She loved her family dearly and would always lend a hand when needed. Gloria knew her time was approaching and she felt at peace due to her strong faith in God. Although we are heartbroken by the loss of an amazing soul, we are at peace knowing she is with the lord and no longer in pain.

She is survived by her brother Michael and Sisters Nilda, Magda, Margarita, Jenny, and Mildred and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, 6:00pm to 9:00pm at RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306 (For GPS Navigation it is best to use parking lot entrance address: 14 Stagg St.).  Funeral will begin on Thursday, November 30, 2017, 11:30am at the funeral home.  Funeral procession will begin at 12:00pm to Arlington Cemetery, Kearny.
