John "Baretta" Russo

John Thomas Russo "Baretta" 49, of Edison, formerly of Jersey City, Marion Section, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019. 

John was a chef and worked in many restaurants in New Jersey.  He was a counselor for Teen Challenge in West Babylon, NY.  John was an avid NY Yankees fan and also enjoyed riding all terrain vehicles. 

John was the devoted father of Robert Russo; beloved son Vincent and Natividad Russo; dear brother of Vincent James Russo; cherished grandson of Arisides Duardo; loving fiancé of Jennifer Cioffi.  Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Visitation is on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd,, Jersey City, NJ 07306 (For GPS Navigation it is best to use parking lot entrance address: 14 Stagg St., Jersey City).  Everyone will meet for a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 99 Broadway, Jersey City, NJ 07306.  Cremation will be private.  In lieu of flowers, John's family will accept donations at the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
