Kunwar Sharma

On July 15th, 2019, Kunwar Sharma, son of Durga Prasad and Jai Devi, loving husband, and devoted father, peacefully entered eternal rest surrounded by his cherished ones.

He is survived by his beloved wife and two daughters.

From his humble beginnings in a small village of Naugaon, Bareily in India, he expatriated to England and then United States of America in hopes of a better future. He fulfilled his passion for learning and scholastic pursuits by becoming a professor in England and later teaching in United States. Always a dreamer and forever chasing those dreams, he switched careers and became a self-employed operator of a business for over 35 years. His devotion to his family was unparalleled, and he ensured that his wife and children were happy in every way. He was a man of great wisdom, of magnanimous spirit, and of utmost sincerity, especially as he desired to uplift those around him. He was an avid connoisseur of English literature, poetry, and other great classics. Until his last moments, he never slowed down and always sought to elevate himself and others.

He will be fondly remembered by those who knew and loved him as a distinguished gentleman and a tender, kind soul. Considering all the accomplishments he achieved during his lifetime, he considered his greatest successes in life to be a model example of veracity and kindness to his children and a loving husband and partner to his wife. He was a beacon of resilience and strength, and his wife and children will treasure every memory of this wonderful human being. While he will be missed dearly, his optimism, compassion, and devotion will continue to bless and inspire his family.

A Puja for Kunwar will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019, at 10:00 AM at Garden State Crematory (4101 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, North Bergen, NJ). Cremation will follow the service.
