Lidia Betancourt

Lidia Betancourt, born on May 7, 1937 in Carolina, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2019, after her courageous battle with cancer. She was a fighter at the age of 82, and will be truly missed on this Earth. 

Lidia was predeceased by her parents: Damasco Betancourt and Ana Betancourt-Santaella; her brothers Louis and Lito; and her sister Carmen.

Lidia will be remembered by her two loving sisters: Lola and Gloria; her dear brother Lalo; her five beloved children: Margarita Vega, Elizabeth Vega, Anna Vega, Juan Vega and Israel Vega; her ten cherished grandchildren, her adored great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.  She was a light on this Earth that has been taken away for now but we will meet again one day. She is with the Lord now, dancing in His glory and watching over us. She will be remembered forever and ever through the love and care that she showed to us all.

A visitation for Lidia will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2019, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Cremation will be private.
