Paul Gregory Obituary

Paul M. Gregory, 95, died peacefully at his home on April 25, 2019, surrounded by his family. A Jersey City native, he later moved to Union where he resided for the rest of his life.  He was a self-employed window cleaner.  He was married to the love of his life, Audrey Bessoir, for 72 years.  Paul was a World War II vet who served in General George Patton’s Armored Division in the European Theatre, participating in the liberation of concentration camp survivors.

He is survived by his beloved wife Audrey, 91, and his four children, Michael, Janet, Jane and James; his grandchildren, Maribeth, Daniel, Rachel, Alexandra, Vanessa, JJ, Adam, Joseph and the late Ricky; and his great grandchildren, Vanessa, Alexander, Sommer and Madison.

Paul will always be remembered for his dry sense of humor, practical jokes and sarcastic wit. The party didn’t start until Paul arrived! To his family, friends and even casual acquaintances, Paul had an innate talent to find the humor in any situation. He was truly one of a kind!
