Peter J. Bordino

Peter J. Bordino, 74, of Bayonne and formerly of Jersey City, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017.  

Although legally blind since he was 3 years old, Peter was a well known and productive clerk and dispatcher at the Sheriff's Office for over 30 years.  Many people never realized he was blind because of how he carried himself so well interacting with people and moving around unassisted.  Pete had a great sense of humor and a good heart, he would always help someone out in anyway he could.  He was an inspiration to people around him and he loved family gatherings, walking in the neghboorhood and listening to the New York Yankees and Giants.  He was also a drummer in the Whitey Murphy Band. 

Peter was survived by many loving nieces and nephews of the Dunn and Gozzolino families of Jersey City and Bayonne, especially his devoted niece and caretaker, Donna Gozzolino.  He also survived by many dear friends especially John and Pat Bartucci.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, 5:00pm to 9:00pm at RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306 (For GPS Navigation it is best to enter parking lot entrance address: 14 Stagg St.)  Cremation will be private.
