Steven Craig Gratz passed away on August 9, 2017. Steven was the son of Lena Gratz and John Tucker and he was born on February 7, 1959. He grew up in Eatontown before joining the Navy at age 18.

To his family and friends, he was affectionately known as Stevie. Steve’s favorite hobby was fishing. You could always find him at the dam located uptown in Eatontown enjoying his favorite hobby. In fact, he loved it so much that he would skip school sometimes and go fishing instead.

Stevie joined the Navy in 1978 for a period of 4 years of active duty. In 1982, he started working at the Naval Base in Bayonne, NJ, as a Radio Commander.

Stevie was loved by his family and many friends. Words cannot express the depths of sorrow we feel in our hearts now that he is gone. His family takes comfort in knowing that he will be resurrected as stated in the Bible in John 5:28 & 29. We look forward to that time when we will be reunited with Stevie.

Stevie is predeceased by his parents Lena and John. He is also predeceased by his 2 brothers: Hilton and William Gratz and his sister Valerie Gratz.

Those who are left to cherish many loving memories of Stevie, are his wife: Theresa; His 2 sisters: Wanda Jetter and her husband Marvin, and Isabelle Hill and her husband Henry. His 8 nephews: Marvin, Curtis, John, Hilton, Tony, Keven, Sharif and Omar. His 5 nieces: Lena, Raneka, Taneka, Renee and Camille. Also surviving are 11 great nephews and nieces.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Steven's Memorial on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 12:00PM-2:00PM at the funeral home. Cremation is private.
