Tullio L. Pitaro

Tullio L. Pitaro, 74, of Jersey City passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.  Tullio was born in Santo Stefano, Aprigliano, Cosenza, Italy and immigrated with his family to Jersey City in 1955.

Tullio was a retired chemical engineer and consulted many large firms including Exxon, Merck and Foster Wheeler.  He graduated Stevens Institute of Technology and was a member of the Alumni Association.  Pitaro enjoyed all major sports and was an avid Mets, Devils and Giants fan.  

Tullio was the beloved son of the late Vincenzo and Agata Pitaro; loving brother of Salvatore & Antoinetta Pitaro, Anthony & Susan Pitaro, Marissa & Daniel Minkler; cherished uncle of Danny Minkler, Jr.

Visitation is on Sunday, March 11, 2018, 3:00pm to 7:00pm at RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306.  Funeral will begin on Monday, March 12, 2018, 10:00am at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass will follow 11:00am at St. Nicholas Church, Jersey City.  Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.
