Warda Bishai

Warda Bishai, 89, of Edison, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 25, 2019, while surrounded by her loving family.

Warda was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Tayta was very proud of her family. Warda loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She would spend hours cooking and preparing for her company. 

Warda was known for her feisty, yet good sense of humor. As a mother, a grandmother, a teacher, a principal and a wife she modeled faith in God and the love of Christ until the very end of her time with us. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Warda was the beloved wife of the late Gaber Ikladios Gurguis, devoted mother of the late Gameal Gurguis & widow Amal, Susan Bisheit & her husband Youssef, Nahed Polera & her husband Anthony and Nabil Gurguis. She was the loving Tayta of Lorraine, Daniel, Amanda & her husband Robert, great-granddaughter Sadie, Maggie & her husband Stephen, Timothy, Melody, Sean, Thomas, Luke & Daniel. She is also survived by her brother Moneer of Sydney, Australia. 

A Memorial Service for Warda will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mideast Evangelical Church, 241 Sip Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07306. Funeral Services are on Thursday, 11:30 AM at the Mideast Evangelical Church. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery, Kearny.
