William C. Kirchoff aka "Bill," age 78, was a graduate of William L. Dickinson High School. He then went on to receive a degree from Jersey City State Teachers College, now known as NJCU. He was known in the community first as an owner/operator with Aragona & Sorbera Bakery. He then owned a furniture store, and finally his own trucking company, known as Jaguar Transport. He was a charming and charismatic man, who was a proud and lifelong resident of Jersey City. He enjoyed fishing, playing softball, and watching football and baseball games in person or on TV. He was well liked on Booraem Ave. He was a very attentive father, uncle, and grandfather - he was loved and will be greatly missed.
He is predeceased by his parents, C. Bernice Kirchoff (nee Brower) and William H Kirchoff; and his sister, Carolyn Seiler (nee Kirchoff).
Bill is survived by his 5 children, Karen Saminski, Jeanne Ferrucci, Marilynn Kirchoff, Lisa Kirchoff, and William J. Kirchoff; by his 11 grandchildren, Jessica Witte-Dyer, Christie Ferrucci, William K.J. Witte, Stephanie Kirchoff, William J Kirchoff, Jr., Michael Ferrucci, Aaron Kirchoff, Jonathan Saminski, Joseph Ferrucci, Ashley Kirchoff, and Matthew Sikora; and by one great-granddaughter, Ruby Dyer.
Visitation services for William will be held on Tuesday, July 17th, 2018, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Riotto Funeral Home (for GPS use Address: 14 Stagg St., Jersey City, NJ 07306).
