Alton Avaloy Obituary

The Lord Giveth and the Lord Taketh Away, Blessed Be The Name Of the Lord. (Job 1:21)

On January 21, 1971 joy filled the air as Alton Charles was born to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Avaloy in Belize City, Belize. Ton, TonTon, Big Bruiser were the names he was called by his relatives and close friends. He spent his formative years in Belize City, where he completed his elementary and high school education. He excelled in Mathematics. It was at this time he developed life-long friendships. He was an avid sports enthusiast and was especially fond of basketball. Alton was a very charismatic person from when he was very young; a trait that allowed him to be known as a LADIES MAN.

Alton migrated to New Jersey, USA in his late teens and remained here until he transitioned on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the age of 50. He was a custom broker for twenty-five years and recently started his own consulting business.  He had a passion for cooking, which he gladly did for his church members at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. He also enjoyed entertaining his loved ones with very delicious barbeque.

Alton was predeceased in life by his father, Charles Benjamin Avaloy and his grandparents. Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Sonia Staine; his sons, Deshaun and Alton Jr.; his daughters, Amira and Adira; his siblings, Suzette, Herman, Ava, Gina, Anwar, Camisha, Adrian, Andrea, and Andrew; by his two nieces, Kandese and Sophia; his three nephews, Kahle, Sean and Carlon; by his life-long friend, Virgil; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

May his soul Rest In Peace and rise in glory!!

Goodbye Dad, until we meet again.
