Amaury Luis Carrion, 46, of the Bronx, New York, passed away on September 20, 2025, in his hometown.
Born on September 13, 1979, in the Bronx, Amaury was the beloved son of the late Angel Luis Carrion and Maria Esther Lopez. He grew up and spent most of his life in Jersey City, New Jersey and the Bronx, where he was deeply rooted in his family, culture, and community.
Amaury was a proud Puerto Rican who carried his heritage with passion and pride. A huge New York Yankees fan, an avid fisherman, and a devoted dog lover, breeder, and trainer, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures and was happiest when sharing those moments with loved ones. He was known for his blunt honesty, his sharp wit, and above all, his good heart. Amaury was well respected and admired for always speaking the truth, no matter the circumstance.
He leaves behind his cherished daughters, Amaris Maria Carrion and Angelyse Maria Carrion; his siblings, Jesse Joel Guilbe and Federico Joel Reyes; his devoted Aunt, Grisel Lopez; and his loving partner Jessica Acevedo. He is also survived by the Lopez, Carrion, and Reyes families, along with many beloved relatives and friends who will forever carry his memory. Amaury was predeceased by his parents, Angel and Maria.
Family and friends are invited to honor Amaury’s life at Riotto Funeral Home (For GPS, please use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306) on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Inurnment will follow on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden.
