América Victorina "Marilyn" Furment Maceo Alíes

October 5, 1956 - June 8, 2026

Marilyn, 68, passed away on. Born in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic, she was the baby of 6 to Emilio Salvador Furment and Maria De Rosario Maceo Pérez "Mai". She became a proud U.S. citizen on November 9, 2001.

Marilyn was a baptized Jehovah's Witness who faithfully served Jehovah since 1985. Her favorite Bible verse brought her comfort: "Y les secará toda lágrima de sus ojos, y la muerte ya no existirá, ni habrá más tristeza, ni llanto, ni dolor. Las cosas anteriores han pasado." Revelación 21:4

If you knew Marilyn, you knew exactly where you stood. She was outspoken with no filter, honest to a fault, and would tell you the truth to your face because she loved you. "That's my defect," she'd say, "if you don't like it, I don't know what to tell you. I will always tell you how it is." She hated liars, loved hard, she was always trying to fix everyone's problems and was a very loyal person.

Family was her everything. She was a daddy's girl and became a single mother to Wilkins, Natalia Nexali, and Cynthia Teresa, plus her nephew Hamilton Alexander whom she adopted, raised and loved as her own. Her 14 grandkids and 3 great-grandkids were her pride and joy. Marilyn loved to cook and was always feeding people - no one left her home hungry. She was a passionate babysitter who loved kids like they were hers, and her home was full of music, dancing, plants, and animals. Her favorite colors were yellow and orange - bright, like her spirit. For 16 years Marilyn was a dialysis patient, and she fought so hard till the end with the strength that defined her. Her best friends were Natacha and Awilda, who stood by her side always.

She leaves behind her children Wilkins, Natalia, Cynthia, and Hamilton; grandchildren Jeanette, Savina, De'Onna, Skilee, Shamai, Elijah, Wilkins (Babyboy), Devin, Jalexis, Aleena, Ashley, Blayze, Víctor, and Jiezer; great-grandchildren Jaeydah, David, and Alysiah; brothers Bienvenido, Ramon, Irving, and Hemilton; and her best friend Awilda. She rejoins her parents Emilio "Salvador" and Maria "Mai", siblings Melania and Marcos, and her beloved best friend Natacha.

She was a strong woman, a fighter, and our everything. We look forward to seeing her again in the resurrection hope. - Acts 24:15
