Ana V. Destin, 67, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 4, 1958, Ana lived a life rooted in love, compassion, and dedication to others. She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Leo, and a proud and loving mother to her son, Lyonel, whom she cherished deeply.
Ana is survived by her siblings, Anthony Ramos, Jose Rentas, Edward Rentas, Carlos Rentas, Linda Burgos, Jovani Ramos, and Joanne Ramos, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts. She also leaves behind the loving anticipation of her expected grandchild, who will be forever connected to her legacy.
Ana had a vibrant spirit and a deep love for life. She especially enjoyed spending time in Atlantic City and traveling, always embracing new experiences and creating lasting memories with those she loved. Her greatest joy, however, was her family. She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved four-legged friend, Rascal, who brought her endless comfort and companionship. Though she is no longer here in person, her loved ones take comfort in knowing she will forever watch over and protect her expecting grandchild from above.
Ana had a profound love for children, which guided her life’s work. She dedicated over 30 years of service to the Jersey City Board of Education as an elementary school special education teacher, where she made a lasting impact on countless young lives. Her passion, patience, and kindness did not go unnoticed; she was honored with the role of Head Teacher for the Casper Program, a testament to her commitment and excellence in her field.
Ana will be remembered for her warm heart, her unwavering love for her family, and her lifelong devotion to helping others—especially children. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and love that will never be forgotten.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
