Anaire Moquete De Jorge Obituary

Anaire Milagro Moquete, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, transitioned peacefully on Friday, November 15th , 2024, in Jersey City Medical Center, surrounded in love with her family. She was sixty-eight years old. On January 15th, 1956, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Anaire Milagro Moquete was born to parents Baldemira Moquete and Elpidio Sabala.

Anaire was a multitalented woman, specializing in motherhood and devoted in her faith to God above all. She put her natural caring and loving tendencies to good use, becoming a home health aide, working closely with disabled children. Anaire was an amazing chef, and cooking was her love language. Always making homecooked meals, she was famous for her extravagant holiday feasts. A natural dancing queen at heart, she loved to show her love of music with her impressive Salsa skills. Anaire exuded confidence and joy with her beautiful smile that lit up a room everywhere she went, always leading in love with her welcoming presence.

When presented with challenges, she handled them with grace and faced tomorrow with a smile, showing just how brave and resilient she was. One of her biggest achievements was initially battling and beating breast cancer, doing the same after being diagnosed with cervical cancer, refusing to despair during these trying times of adversity, by choosing to stay optimistic instead. Anaire’s tenacity and vigor for life were admirable; she fought through the worst and difficult of times, all the while making it look effortless. The definition of a true warrior, she was asource of inspiration to many during her many trials and tribulations in life. In true fashionista fashion, Anaire was always dressed to impress, showing her unique and classy fashion sense with her snazzy outfits, capturing the eyes of many. She was once married and a dedicated mother to four children. Thereafter, she was promoted to grandmother of nine grandchildren, and a great grandmother to one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson Antonio Quentin Terry, sister Rita Elena Moquete, brother Juan Johnny Moquete, nephew Osvaldo Moquete, nephew Reynaldo “Parampa” Moquete, and other family members she loved deeply. Anaire is survived by her sisters: Dominga Moquete and Teresa Moquete; children: Kelvin Moquete, Franchesca Moquete, Jessica Jorge, and Johnny Jorge; grandchildren: Anairis Moquete, Ariana Lindsey, Savanna Howie, Eliezer Natera, Kassandra Moquete, Yazariah Moquete, Abigail Moquete, and Indigo Moquete; great granddaughter Zora Gordon, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, who all miss her dearly.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Riotto Funeral Home (For GPS, Please use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306). Funeral services are Friday, November 22, 2024, 10:00 AM at the funeral. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
