Angelo “Willy” Suarez
January 19, 1950 - June 29, 2024
Angelo “Willy” Suarez, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the age of 74. Born on January 19, 1950, in Caye, Puerto Rico, Angelo was a dedicated family man who cherished spending time with all of his grandchildren. In his spare time, he found great joy in lovingly restoring and caring for his cars and trucks.
Angelo is survived by his devoted wife, Esther Suarez, with whom he shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised their family in Jersey City, NJ, where Angelo spent most of his life, creating a warm and loving home.
Angelo's legacy is carried on by his five children and their families:
Lydia Suarez-McNulty;
Married to Scott McNulty, and their children, Laura O’Keefe and Marshall O’Keefe, married to Angelica O’Keefe and his great-grandchild Carter O’Keefe.
Angel Suarez;
Married to Evelyn Suarez, and their children, Chelsea Dempsey married to Alex Dempsey, Gabriela Suarez, and Angel Suarez.
Cynthia Suarez-McNulty;
Married to Matthew McNulty, and their children, Alexa McNulty, Gianna McNulty, and Matthew McNulty.
William Suarez;
Married to Yissell Suarez, and their children, William Suarez and Adrian Suarez.
Tanya Suarez;
And her son, Aris Perez.
Angelo's professional life was marked by over 40 years as an owner/operator truck driver, a career that he approached with dedication and pride. He was known for his strong work ethic and reliability, always providing for his family and ensuring their well-being.
Beyond his professional achievements, Angelo was a proud family man whose greatest joy came from spending time with his loved ones. He cherished family gatherings, celebrations, and the simple moments that created lasting memories.
Angelo's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, resilience, and unconditional love that will continue to inspire and guide his family for generations to come.
A celebration of Angelo’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home (For GPS please use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306). Funeral services are Wednesday, July 3, 2024, 10:00 AM at the funeral home followed by an 11:00 AM mass at St. Paul of the Cross Church, Jersey City. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington
