Anna Crincoli, age 92, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026.
Born on July 7, 1933. Anna lived in Jersey City for most of her life before moving to Wayne with her daughter and son-in-law. Anna was a homemaker and also helped her late husband successfully run their company, Gencri Construction. Prior to that she worked at Bell Atlantic as a switchboard operator and then Modern Hatters, and loved sharing funny stories about her time there. She was an exceptional cook, loved her Cadillac, and had a deep affection for dogs, especially German Shepherds.
Anna married Gennaro Crincoli in 1970, and was a devoted wife. Anna adored her children, Rocco and Angiolina— they were her entire world. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy and will be forever cherished by her children. One of the most precious gifts she received was her title of nonna.
Anna will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is predeceased by her husband, Gennaro Crincoli. She is survived by her children, Angiolina Palazzo and her husband, Alessandro; her son, Rocco Crincoli and his wife, Maria; grandchildren, Gennaro; Alyssa and her husband, Joseph; William and his wife, Vivian; and Jessica; and great-grandchild, Joseph. Anna is also survived by her sister, Irene Cheplic, and sisters-in-law, Pasqualina Mesbah and Dr. Eugenia Vottea-Crincoli along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2025, 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. visitation at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ, 07306 (For GPS it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stag St.). Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 344 6th St, Jersey City, NJ 07302. Interment will be at Holy Name Cemetery, 823 West Side Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07306.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna’s memory may be made to a charity of your choosing.
