Anna Marie Gallipoli, 85, of Jersey City, entered into eternal rest on October 1, 2025. Born on February 11, 1940, in Jersey City, she was the beloved daughter of the late Mark and Anne (neé Squicciarine) Zuppa.
Anna was the devoted wife of the late Joseph Gallipoli and the cherished mother of Joseph Gallipoli and his wife, Lorraine. She was the proud grandmother of Joseph and Brandon, who brought endless joy to her life. She is survived by her brother, Charlie, and his late wife, Nancy, along with her sister-in-law, Anna. She will also be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Along with her husband, Anna dedicated many years to working at Donna’s Pizzeria & Restaurant on Palisades Ave., Jersey City, where her warm spirit and welcoming nature touched the lives of countless customers and friends. She loved trips to Atlantic City, faithfully watched General Hospital, and treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren.
Anna will be remembered for her devotion to family, her strong character, and her love of simple joys. She was a loyal friend to many, including her dear companions Belen and Nadira, whose friendship meant so much to her and her family.
Family and friends are invited to honor Anna’s life on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ. (For GPS Navigation, it is best to use the parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street). Funeral is Wednesday, October 8, 2025 11:00 AM at St. Anne's Church, 3545 Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, N. Arlington.
