Annette Barbalinardo
January 21, 1931 – March 3, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Annette Barbalinardo, who departed this life on March 3, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on January 21, 1931, in Jersey City, NJ, Annette was a lifelong resident, growing up in downtown Jersey City before settling in the Heights, where she lived for the remainder of her life.
Annette was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Mary Mastrolia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Barbalinardo, and her sons, Joseph Barbalinardo and Michael Barbalinardo. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Angelo Mastrolia, and Vincent.
She is survived by her brother, Nicholas Mastrolia, and her sister, Margaret Colaneri, as well as her nieces, nephews, cousins, and many cherished friends.
Annette was a talented seamstress, accomplished baker, and devoted mother. Her passion for baking and cooking was well known, and her culinary skills were so admired that her recipes were featured in the St. Anne’s Church recipe book. A longtime parishioner of St. Anne’s Church, her faith was an important part of her life.
Annette found joy in sewing, baking, cooking, puzzles, coloring, and word games. She had a warm and giving spirit, always putting others before herself. A true social butterfly, she was known for her kindness, generosity, and infectious smile, always willing to go the extra mile for family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, March 7, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Funeral Home (For GPS, please use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306). A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:30 PM at St. Anne’s Church, Jersey City. Interment will take place at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
Annette’s love and generosity touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed. May she rest in eternal peace.
