Anthony Finizio, 69, of Jersey City, passed away on Monday November 17, 2025.
Anthony was the true definition of an "old school guy". He loved the good old days and talked about them often. Car shows, doo wop, classic rock, and anything with a bit of nostalgia always brought him joy. He had a lifelong passion for vintage cars and took pride in building them, fixing them, and driving them. He was also an avid Harley Davidson rider who enjoyed every moment on the open road.
As much as he loved his cars and his motorcycle, nothing meant more to Anthony than his beloved wife Linda. His loyalty and devotion to her were at the center of his life. Anthony cherished his family deeply and showed his love through quiet acts of generosity and kindness.
He was a familiar and dependable presence at St Paul of the Cross bingo, and was well known for running the concession stand. A true jack of all trades, he was always ready to lend a hand. If he had something and someone needed it, he gave it without hesitation. Helping others came naturally to him.
Anthony is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Finizio. He also leaves behind his loving nieces Christina and Lisa Finizio, Lisa’s partner Mike, his great nephew Michael Olson Jr, and many cousins who cared for him dearly.
He was predeceased by his parents Vincent and Sadie Finizio, his sister Lucretia Blesser and her husband Robert, and his brother Vincent Finizio and his wife Pat.
Visitation is Monday, November 24, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home (For GPS, please use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street, Jersey City, NJ 07306). Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
Anthony will be remembered for his generosity, his calm strength, and the old school charm that made him unforgettable. His spirit will live on in the many people whose lives he touched.
