Antonio Gualpa

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Antonio Jose Gualpa of Vernon, New Jersey, who departed this life on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the age of 45.

Antonio was a beloved son, father, brother and friend whose spirit lit up every room he entered. Known for his goofiness, infectious laughter and love of dancing, Antonio had a rare gift for bringing joy to others. His kindness knew no bounds, he constantly put others before himself, always ready to lend a hand or offer a smile. 

For many years, Antonio worked as a Financial Manager at East Coast Toyota, where he was not only respected for his professionalism but cherished for the warmth and humor he brought to the workplace. His passion for life extended beyond his career—he was an avid soccer fan, he loved wearing the color yellow to represent his favorite team "Barcelona" from Ecuador.  Antonio loved being on the grill and he was happiest when surrounded by nature and the people he loved.

Antonio is survived by his father, Antonio Gualpa; his four children, Jesus, Moises, Jeremie, and Adamaris; his beloved dog, Max and eight siblings—his sisters: Martha, Fatima, Johanna, Katherine and Andrea, and his brothers: Guillermo, Henry and Xavier. He is preceded in death by his mother, Narcisa Garcia.

Antonio's legacy of laughter, love, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Visitation is Friday, May 9 , 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City. (For GPS navigation, it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street). Funeral Service will be May 10, 2025 at  Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company from 9:00-9:30 AM. Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM St. Paul the Apostle Church, 14 Greenville Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07305.  Interment will follow at Flower Hill Cemetery, 5433 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, North Bergen, NJ 07047.

Con gran pesar, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Antonio José Gualpa de Vernon, Nueva Jersey, quien partió de esta vida el sábado 3 de mayo de 2025, a la edad de 45 años.

Antonio fue un querido hijo, padre, hermano y amigo, cuyo espíritu iluminaba cada lugar al que llegaba. Conocido por su simpatía, risa contagiosa y amor por el baile, Antonio tenía un don especial para brindar alegría a los demás. Su amabilidad no conocía límites; siempre ponía a los demás antes que a sí mismo, siempre dispuesto a ayudar o a ofrecer una sonrisa.

Durante muchos años, Antonio trabajó como Gerente Financiero en East Coast Toyota, donde no solo fue respetado por su profesionalismo, sino también apreciado por el calor humano y el sentido del humor que llevaba al lugar de trabajo. Su pasión por la vida iba más allá de su carrera—era un ferviente aficionado al fútbol, le encantaba vestir de color amarillo para representar a su equipo favorito, “Barcelona” de Ecuador. Antonio amaba estar frente a la parrilla y era más feliz cuando estaba rodeado de la naturaleza y de las personas que amaba.

Antonio deja en vida a su padre, Antonio Gualpa; a sus cuatro hijos, Jesús, Moisés, Jeremie y Adamaris; a su querido perro Max y a sus ocho hermanos—sus hermanas: Martha, Fátima, Johanna, Katherine y Andrea; y hermanos: Guillermo, Henry y Xavier. Le precede en fallecimiento su madre, Narcisa García.

El legado de Antonio de alegría, amor y generosidad vivirá en los corazones de todos quienes lo conocieron y amaron.

La visita será el viernes 9 de mayo de 2025 de 5:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m. en Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City. (Para navegación GPS, es mejor usar la dirección de nuestro estacionamiento: 14 Stagg Street). El servicio funerario será el 10 de mayo de 2025, a las 10:00 a.m , en la iglesia St. Paul the Apostle, 14 Greenville Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07305. El entierro se llevará a cabo en el cementerio Flower Hill, 5433 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, North Bergen, NJ 07047.
