Benny Kaulesar Obituary

Benny Kaulessar, age 46, passed away on May 6, 2026.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Benny was the beloved son of Barbara Szczepanski and Benie Kaulesar.

He will be deeply missed by his brother, Peter.

Benny was predeceased by his father, Benie Kaulesar, his paternal grandparents, Lutch and Lilly Kaulesar, and his maternal grandparents.

Throughout most of Benny's life, he had a strong passion for music and DJing, music and video production, as he saw himself as a true entertainer, and felt complete in seeing other people enjoy themselves. He earned the performance name, "DJ Spice," which he became well-known as across cities, with demands for his music, and CD's. He was mostly interested in Reggae and Rap, as well as Soca and Calypso, but his interests evolved into other genres, such as R&B, Jazz, etc.

That passion for the enjoyment of others did not stop there. As he perfected his craft, he aspired to become a big-name music producer. He did make some progress, but also experienced joy in entertaining others, as well as himself, with his healthy snd delicious cooking. His family often urged him to go into the culinary arts.

When he was not in his in-home music studio he created, working on producing new recordings, whether for sale or just pure enjoyment, he would enjoy riding his bike, or e-bike, working out, and taking in concerts and performances in the park.

He took extraordinary pride in being a homeowner and landlord, as well as improving his properties on his own,

Throughout life, he never stopped talking about his grandfather, from spending time with him in the house, his grandpa taking him, along with his cousins, to the bakery and park, to repeating his grandfather's famous quotes.

In addition to those great memories, he often spoke fondly of  fishing with his parents, which sparked an interest in being an outdoorsman, that he wanted to continue. Unfortunately, he did not get a chance to continue with this. But, we know this will be one of his many adventures to enjoy in Heaven, with his dad, grandparents, uncles, and other loved ones there, as well.
