Bernard Patrick Courtney

Bernard Patrick Courtney, 79, of Jersey City, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 16, 2020.  Bernard liked to golf whenever he could, and he was a big fan of everything that included football. He was a member of the Elks and the American Legion.  He also served in the army during the Vietnam War.  For a very long time, he was the manager of the National Retail System in Secaucus.

Bernard is survived by his loving son, Bernie, and his caring ex-wife,  Janice Cooney.  He is predeceased in life by his parents, Mary (nee McCluskey) and Bernard J. Courtney, his brother, Joseph and his sister, Patricia Courtney. 

Due to CDC guidelines, services are private.  A mass service will be offered on Monday, June 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 400 Willow Ave. Hoboken, NJ.  Cremation to follow is private.  Arrangements done by Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Jersey City.
