Beverly (Walsh) Scrudato

Beverly Scrudato (nee: Walsh), 77 of Secaucus, entered into eternal rest on June 8, 2019 at her home with her family by her side.   Born September 10, 1941 in Jersey City to the late Charles & Mercedes (nee: Winne) Walsh, she lived in Secaucus for the past 45 years.  Beverly was employed as an office manager for Kook & Son, Inc., in Jersey City for 49 years, retiring a short while ago.   She was a family oriented woman, who loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed cooking great meals for them.  Beverly was a devout Catholic with much of her faith life centered around Holy Rosary Church. There she volunteered at the Annual Parish Festival and most recently, became involved with the “Feeding the Hungry Ministry” where she would discretely solicit contributions to fund the supplies and along with others, would gather to cook meals for the needy every week.  She was previously active with the Pre-Cana Ministry of St. John’s Church in Lakehurst.

She is the cherished wife of Harry Scrudato, beloved mother of Joanne Barbera & her husband, Anthony, Laura Kusic & her husband, Jeffrey, the proud and loving grandmother of Dr. Nicolas, Jenna, Matthew & Gabrielle Barbera & Juliana Kusic, dear Sister of Charles, Rose & Judith Walsh, Diane Sindle, Donna & Kevin Walsh. She is predeceased by her siblings, Karen Hadyka & Thomas Walsh.   She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held today, Monday, June 10, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City.  (For GPS use 14 Stagg Street).  Friends are invited to gather for the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, June 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 344 Sixth Street, Jersey City, NJ.  (No visitation on Tuesday morning at the funeral home). Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
