Bonifacio Razon, 85, of Jersey City, NJ, formerly of Batangas, Philippines, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Bonifacio Razon was a hardworking and dedicated individual, full of love, laughter and resilience, always putting the needs of his family first. Born in Lemery, Batangas, Philippines to Felomeno and Sofia Razon, he started working at an early age to help put his younger siblings through school. He graduated from Manuel L. Quezon University with a degree in accounting and eventually started working at the National Treasury of the Philippines where he met his devoted wife of 44 years Sonia. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1979 with his siblings in Jersey City, NJ which he made his permanent home. After tirelessly working to build a life for his two children Stephanie and Benedict, he spent his retirement years enjoying life's simple pleasures: watching televised sports and nature documentaries, playing card games with his siblings and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. Known amongst his family for his jovial disposition and his love of music, singing and dancing, he will be remembered as a great cook and grill master, and fun and playful Lolo.
