Candida "Candy B" R. Batista

Candida Batista (Candy B), 71, of Jersey City, NJ, formerly of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024.

Candida was a long-time resident of Jersey City. She was born in the Dominican Republic and migrated to Jersey City for a better life. She would go above and beyond to help people because of her kind heart. She was the life of the party and always made people smile. She was an amazing cook and loved to dance. She was and always will be loved.

Beloved Mother to Rosanna, Rosemary, Robert Jr. and Rodolfy. Sister to Santiago, Eladio, and Nelson Marte. Cherished (Grandmother) of Maddie, Robert Elias, Olive, Jayden and Angelisse. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, and friends. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August, 29, 2024, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07306 (For GPS Navigation, it is best to use the parking lot entrance address: 14 Stagg St., Jersey City). Friends and family are invited to attend Candida's funeral mass on Friday, August 30, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, 691 West Side Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07304. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, 823 West Side Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07306.
