Carmela Favazzi

Beloved mother and grandmother, 89, Carmela (Millie) Favazzi (nee Castrovinci) of Jersey City, NJ passed away peacefully on June 27th, 2020. She was born in Jersey City and lived part of her life in Frezzano, Sicily. She returned to the United States to marry her late husband of 38 years, Salvatore Favazzi. They raised their family in Jersey City, NJ. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who adored her family. 

Carmela is survived by her children Rose Marie Maresca and her husband, Thomas, and Lisa Ruvolo and her husband, Michael. She was the dear grandmother of Christine and Thomas Maresca and Allyson and Amanda Ruvolo.   She is also survived by her brother, Carl Castrovinci, her sister, Mary Brancatelli, and many nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by her brother, Salvatore Castrovinci. 

Due to the limitations of public gatherings, the service will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Riotto Funeral Home, followed by a mass at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City, NJ. The burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
