Charles “Charlie” J. Fahrenholz, 76, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 16, 2021. He was born on October 11, 1944, in Jersey City, NJ, and it was there he built the foundation for his home and family. Charlie retired from Colonial Printing Ink in East Rutherford. He was also a member of The International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 1518. Charlie owned and operated a silk-screen printing business from his home. However, retirement did not slow him down. He kept busy working various jobs, volunteering his time, and serving as an usher every Sunday at St. John the Baptist Church, where he was a devout parishioner. Eleven years ago, he decided to move to Lehigh Acres, Florida. He was currently working part-time for Smarte Carte, Inc. at the Fort Myers Airport. Charlie was a people person and enjoyed social interaction. He made friends everywhere he went whether it was the corner store to play his lottery, a gas station, church, and gatherings in his local community. His family will remember him as a gregarious and generous person.
Charles was the son to the late Charles and Madeline (Daniels); the former spouse to Theodora “Dori” Fahrenholz (Zolusky); beloved father to Jason, Erica, and Andrea; cherished grandfather to Madilyn and Maeve; father-in-law to Ed Redmond and Jacqueline Ortiz; brother to the late Gloria Bonacolta and Ginger Schmitt; beloved uncle to Dan and Joe Barbossa, the late Angelo Bonacolta and Debbie Goslin (Bonacolta); Jodie Santana (Bonacolta) and Charlie (Erika) Bonacolta, the late Fred Schmitt; Stacy and Marie Schmitt; and Uncle Chickie to many nieces and nephews.
