Cheling Cuevas Obituary
Cheling Cuevas was born on March 03, 1933, and passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the devoted wife of the late Romeo Cuevas, with whom she shared a life built on love, dedication, and family.
Cheling was a wonderful mother of eight children, Magdalena (deceased), Luisa (deceased), Manette, Vicente, Marcelino, Susan, Angela, and Lelie. She is a cherished grandmother of eleven, and a proud great grandmother of five. Her kindness, warmth and sense of humor touched every generation of her family.
Cheling had a deep love for fashion and always carried herself with elegance and grace. Her sense of style reflected her vibrant spirit and confident personality. She was loved by many and remembered for her gentle heart, generosity, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her on a daily basis.
Above all, Cheling will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and the lasting legacy of care, strength, and devotion she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Jersey City, NJ, 07306 (For GPS it is best to use our parking lot address: 14 Stagg St., additional parking is located on Kennedy Blvd.). Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, 10:00 a.m. at St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church, 252 9th St, Jersey City, NJ 07302. Cremation will be private.
