Crispina Lisette Sanchez Paniagua, of Union City, New Jersey, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 21, 2026.

Born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Crispina carried the warmth, vibrancy, and resilience of her homeland with her throughout her life. In 1992, she made Union City her home, where she built a life centered on family, hard work, generosity, and an unwavering determination to overcome every challenge placed before her.

Crispina was a woman of many talents and remarkable drive. Over the years, she worked for the United States Postal Service, as a taxi driver, and as a hairstylist. Whatever role she took on, she approached it with confidence, resourcefulness, and the determination to succeed. Once Crispina set her mind on a goal, there was no obstacle she could not overcome and no circumstance that could keep her from finding a way forward.

Her greatest pride and deepest joy were her children, Luis Benjamin Abad and Aleshia Michelle Abad, and her beloved grandchildren, Jayden and Sebastian. She adored them beyond measure and was their strongest supporter, fiercest protector, and greatest source of encouragement. Crispina never allowed her children to give up on themselves. She taught them to remain strong through adversity, to keep moving forward, and to believe that with determination, there was always a way.

Crispina had a joyful spirit and a smile that could brighten any room. She loved to sing, cook, dance, shop, and spend time surrounded by the people she loved. She was affectionately known as the family’s coupon queen and had a special talent for finding the best bargain and uncovering an unbeatable deal. Shopping was one of her favorite pastimes, but helping others was where her heart truly shined.

She was always willing to offer support, lend a helping hand, or motivate someone who needed encouragement. Her happiness and generosity were matched by her strength and unmistakable personality. She was loving, loyal, and almost always smiling, but those who knew her best also knew not to cross her. Crispina spoke her mind, stood firmly for what she believed was right, and defended those she loved with everything she had.

Crispina was also baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, a faith that brought her great comfort and purpose throughout her life. She cherished every opportunity to share her beliefs with others and deeply loved going out in the preaching work and speaking to people about God’s Kingdom. Whenever she was able, Crispina faithfully attended meetings, finding strength, encouragement, and joy in her spiritual community. Her love for Jehovah and her hope in His promises were an important part of who she was and remained close to her heart.

Above all else, Crispina loved her family. Her devotion to her mother, father, children, grandchildren, siblings, and friends was at the center of everything she did. She gave them her strength, her laughter, her guidance, and a lifetime of memories that will continue to inspire them.

Crispina leaves to cherish her memory her loving parents, Narciso Sanchez and Elena Paniagua; her devoted children, Luis Benjamin Abad and Aleshia Michelle Abad; her adored grandchildren, Jayden and Sebastian; her beloved siblings, Franklin Sanchez and his wife, Alexandra, Adria Sanchez, and Elizabeth Sanchez and her husband, Tejada; and her treasured best friend, Adelina. She will also be deeply missed by her extended family, friends, former colleagues, and the many people whose lives were made better by her kindness, encouragement, and generous spirit.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Cremation will be private.

Nacida y criada en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana, Crispina llevó consigo durante toda su vida la calidez, la vitalidad y la fortaleza de su tierra natal. En 1992, hizo de Union City su hogar, donde construyó una vida centrada en la familia, el trabajo, la generosidad y una determinación inquebrantable para superar cada desafío que se presentara en su camino.

Crispina fue una mujer de muchos talentos y una determinación extraordinaria. A lo largo de los años, trabajó para el Servicio Postal de los Estados Unidos, como conductora de taxi y como estilista. Sin importar el trabajo que desempeñara, siempre lo realizaba con confianza, ingenio y la determinación de triunfar. Cuando Crispina se proponía alcanzar una meta, no había obstáculo que no pudiera superar ni circunstancia que pudiera impedirle encontrar la manera de seguir adelante.

Su mayor orgullo y su alegría más profunda fueron sus hijos, Luis Benjamin Abad y Aleshia Michelle Abad, y sus amados nietos, Jayden y Sebastian. Los adoraba más de lo que las palabras pueden expresar y fue su más firme defensora, su protectora más valiente y su mayor fuente de motivación. Crispina nunca permitió que sus hijos se rindieran ni dejaran de creer en sí mismos. Les enseñó a mantenerse fuertes ante la adversidad, a continuar avanzando y a creer que, con determinación, siempre había una manera de salir adelante.

Crispina tenía un espíritu alegre y una sonrisa capaz de iluminar cualquier lugar. Le encantaba cantar, cocinar, bailar, ir de compras y pasar tiempo rodeada de las personas que amaba. Era conocida cariñosamente como la reina de los cupones de la familia y tenía un talento especial para encontrar las mejores ofertas y descubrir precios inigualables. Ir de compras era uno de sus pasatiempos favoritos, pero era ayudando a los demás donde su corazón realmente brillaba.

Siempre estaba dispuesta a brindar apoyo, ofrecer una mano amiga o motivar a quien necesitara palabras de aliento. Su alegría y generosidad estaban acompañadas por su fortaleza y su inconfundible personalidad. Era amorosa, leal y casi siempre estaba sonriendo, pero quienes mejor la conocían también sabían que no debían desafiarla. Crispina expresaba lo que pensaba, defendía firmemente aquello que consideraba correcto y protegía con todas sus fuerzas a las personas que amaba.

Crispina también se bautizó como testigo de Jehová, una fe que le brindó gran consuelo y propósito a lo largo de su vida. Valoraba cada oportunidad de compartir sus creencias con los demás y disfrutaba profundamente participar en la obra de predicación y hablar con las personas acerca del Reino de Dios. Siempre que le era posible, Crispina asistía fielmente a las reuniones, donde encontraba fortaleza, ánimo y alegría junto a su comunidad espiritual. Su amor por Jehová y su esperanza en Sus promesas fueron una parte importante de quien ella era y permanecieron siempre cerca de su corazón.

Por encima de todo, Crispina amaba a su familia. Su devoción por su madre, su padre, sus hijos, sus nietos, sus hermanos y sus amigos estaba presente en todo lo que hacía. Les entregó su fortaleza, su risa, sus consejos y toda una vida de recuerdos que continuarán inspirándolos.

Crispina deja para honrar y atesorar su memoria a sus amados padres, Narciso Sanchez y Elena Paniagua; a sus devotos hijos, Luis Benjamin Abad y Aleshia Michelle Abad; a sus adorados nietos, Jayden y Sebastian; a sus queridos hermanos, Franklin Sanchez y su esposa, Alexandra, Adria Sanchez, y Elizabeth Sanchez y su esposo, Tejada; y a su entrañable mejor amiga, Adelina. También será profundamente extrañada por sus demás familiares, amigos, antiguos compañeros de trabajo y por las muchas personas cuyas vidas fueron enriquecidas por su bondad, sus palabras de aliento y su espíritu generoso.

El velatorio se llevará a cabo el viernes 26 de junio de 2026, de 5:00 p. m. a 7:00 p. m. La cremación será privada.
