In Loving Memory of Daniel "Danny" Pho
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Q. Pho, a beloved husband, father, brother, and uncle. He passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
Daniel was predeceased by his parents, Pho Van Be and Vo Thi Qui, and his brothers, Pho Viet Hung and Lenny Pho. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lan Le, and his cherished son, Nam Pho. He also leaves behind six siblings, thirteen nieces and nephews, and sixteen grandnieces and grandnephews, all of whom will deeply miss his loving spirit.
Throughout his life, Daniel embraced many careers and adventures. He worked as a zookeeper, a New York City taxi driver, a photographer, and a Canal Street vendor. For the last 17 years he was a proud sales associate at Home Depot where he worked closely with many colleagues that cared for him like family.
Daniel was a man of many passions. He loved photography, sketching, and listening to music. A veteran himself, he especially enjoyed watching war movies. His creative spirit and appreciation for life could be felt in everything he did.
Daniel will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and warmth. He was silly and joyful, always bringing laughter to those around him no matter where he was. He loved deeply, cared for his friends like family, and always put others before himself.
A viewing to honor Daniel’s life will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Riotto Funeral Home, Jersey City, 3205 Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City (for GPS navigation, it is best to use the parking lot address: 14 Stagg Street). The cremation ceremony will follow privately with close family in attendance.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that contributions toward funeral expenses be sent via Venmo to @NamPho. Your support and expressions of love are deeply appreciated during this difficult time.
To our family and friends, we thank you for the love and care you have shown our Danny. He loved and appreciated each of you deeply. If he were here, he would remind you to take care of yourself — and to not make things harder than they need to be.
With love and gratitude,
The Pho Family
